The Meaning of Your Life: Virtual Book Launch Event

Host: ACB Ideas (“the Company”), a limited company registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Event: The Meaning of Your Life: Virtual Book Launch Event (“the Event”).
Please read these terms carefully. By registering for and/or attending the Event, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The Event
Overview: The Event is a live virtual book launch for Arthur Brooks’ new book, The Meaning of Your Life: Finding Purpose in an Age of Emptiness, hosted via Zoom and YouTube on March 27, 2026.
Free Livestream: The free livestream provides view-only access to the live broadcast. Free attendees may watch and listen but do not have interactive participation privileges (e.g., live Q&A, breakout sessions, or direct engagement with the host).
VIP Experience: The VIP Experience provides enhanced, interactive access, which may include live Q&A, direct engagement with Arthur Brooks and guests, exclusive bonus materials, and other features as described at the time of purchase. Specific inclusions are outlined on the VIP sales page and confirmation materials.
Technical Requirements: Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection, a compatible device, and the necessary software (Zoom) to access the Event. The Company is not liable for technical difficulties on the participant’s end.
2. Registration, Payment, and Refunds
Registration is complimentary. No payment is required. The Company reserves the right to limit capacity or close registration at any time.
Transfers: VIP registrations may be transferred to another party on a case-by-case basis, subject to the Company’s prior written approval.
Postponement or Cancellation by Company: The Company reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel the Event due to illness, technical failure, or other unforeseeable circumstances. If the Event is rescheduled, registered participants will be reserved a place for the revised date. If the Event is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, VIP ticket holders will receive a full refund.
3. Code of Conduct
Respectful Participation: All participants are expected to engage respectfully and professionally. The Company reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior without refund.
4. Media Release & Camera Policy
Recording Notice: The Event will be recorded by the Company for use in conference presentations, educational courses, marketing materials, social media, and other promotional purposes.
Camera-On Consent: By turning on your camera during the Event, you grant ACB Ideas and its affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from your image, likeness, and voice as captured in the Event recording, in any medium now known or hereafter developed, without additional compensation or prior approval.
Camera-Off Option: If you do not wish to grant this media release, you must keep your camera turned off for the entirety of the Event. Participation with your camera off constitutes your election to opt out of the media release. You may still participate fully via audio and chat features.
Acknowledgment: By attending the Event with your camera turned on at any point, you acknowledge and agree that your appearance may be included in recorded materials and that you have waived your right to inspect, approve, or receive compensation for any such use. The Company is under no obligation to use your likeness, and inclusion in any materials is at the Company’s sole discretion.
No Unauthorized Recording: Participants may not record, screenshot, stream, or otherwise capture any portion of the Event without the express prior written consent of the Company. Unauthorized recording is a violation of these terms and may result in removal from the Event and/or legal action.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights within content delivered during the Event—including but not limited to presentations, materials, frameworks, assessments, and recordings—are owned by ACB Ideas LLC. Participants may not copy, distribute, adapt, or share any Event content with third parties without the Company’s prior written consent.
6. Liability
The Event is provided on an “as is” basis. The Company makes no warranties regarding the availability, quality, or uninterrupted delivery of the virtual Event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Event, including but not limited to technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions.
The Company’s total aggregate liability to any participant shall not exceed the amount paid by that participant for Event access.
7. Privacy
The Company collects and processes personal data (including name, email address, and payment information for VIP participants) for the purpose of Event administration and communication. Your information will be handled in accordance with the Company’s privacy policy. By registering, you consent to receiving Event-related communications from ACB Ideas. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Virginia courts to settle any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms.
By registering for and/or attending the Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
