Terms & Conditions: The Meaning Experience

Host: ACB Ideas ("the Company"), a limited company registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Event: The Meaning Experience ("the Experience").
Please read these terms carefully. By checking out using the order form or completing a bank transfer, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The Meaning Experience
Inclusions: The Meaning Experience includes:
- In-studio participation in The Meaning of Your Life virtual book launch event, a private dinner reception that evening, and an in-person session with Arthur Brooks the following morning.
- The purchase of 250 copies of The Meaning of Your Life to be donated to a recipient of your choice. This includes standard shipping to up to 2 destinations within the Continental United States. International shipping or split-shipments to multiple addresses may incur additional fees.
- Lunch and dinner are provided on Day 1; a light breakfast and lunch are provided on Day 2.
Exclusions: No accommodations, flights, transfers, or travel expenses are provided or covered by the Company.
2. Payment, Cancellation, and Refunds
Refund Policy: Given the exclusive nature of the event and the upfront costs involved, refunds are not possible.
Transfers: Registration may be transferred to another party on the waitlist on a case-by-case basis, subject to the Company’s prior written approval.
Postponement by Company: The Company reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Experience due to illness, extreme weather, COVID-19, or other unforeseeable reasons.
Rescheduling: If the event is rescheduled, you will be reserved a place for the revised date. If you cannot attend the revised date, the Company may, at its complete discretion, permit attendance at another in-person event.
3. Health, Safety & Liability
Personal Responsibility: You acknowledge there are inherent risks associated with attending an in-person event, including but not limited to the transmission of COVID-19 or other illnesses. The Company is not responsible for vaccination status or risks of exposure.
General Waiver: By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless ACB Ideas, its employees, and agents from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Dietary Requirements: Food preferences or allergies must be communicated to the Company no later than 7 days prior to the event.
4. Code of Conduct & Confidentiality
Confidentiality: To foster an open and secure environment, participants agree to strict confidentiality regarding the personal or business affairs of other participants shared during the Experience. The identity, affiliation, and private discussions of other guests must not be shared externally.
5. Media Release
By attending, you grant ACB Ideas permission to use your image, likeness, and voice recorded on audio or video for conference presentations, educational courses, and marketing purposes without payment.
Privacy Opt-Out: We respect your privacy. If you prefer not to be photographed or included in external marketing materials, please notify us in writing prior to the start of the Experience.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights within training delivered during the Experience are owned by ACB Ideas LLC. You may not copy, distribute, adapt, or share products/materials with third parties.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Virginia courts to settle any disputes.
